Even before it’s commercial release, Martha Battle’s novel “The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão,” already had it’s copyrights acquired for film adaptation by producer Rodrigo Teixeira. The book tells the story of two sisters living in Rio de Janeiro during the 40’s, an extremely conservative period. Rodrigo wants to create a film that narrates women’s struggles against sexism in Brazil. Karim Aïnouz (“O céu de Sueli”) will be directing the feature. The production is planned to begin in early 2017.
